Hi, it's me Ugur. I had given a promise to you, and now I started to realize this plan.
firstly, our first chess lecture will be a fun game, and a fine trap to learn.
visually impaired people are usually more familiar with the chess notation that sighted people, I consider there is no problem about that and if there is someone who thinks will have a problem, then you can visit RNIB websight, find the tactle chessboard, and they will suggest you to download a small document which has informations about chess and chessboard in that file.
now, lets begin with our small trap:
white : unknown
black: unknown
1. e2-e4 e7-e5
2: N g1-f3 d7-d6
comment:
this is the Philedor defence, although there is no prouf that he played this opening moves in his life. Philedor was a chess master lived in the 18th century. even today, he is assumed to be the first strategist of chess.
3. B f1-c4 N b8-c6
4. N b1-c3 B c8-g4
comment:
this move, in my opinion, a bad failure to trap the knight from moving, because white will use that knight for a decisive mating attack.
5. h2-h3 Bg4-h5
comment:
this move is the decisive error of black, although to give up the bishop pair with B g4 x f3 is not good either. anyway, for the sake of this move, we are now aware of a fine trap.
6. N f3 x e5
comment:
surprise! black was considering, if white knight leaves the f3 square, he would take the white queen with the bishop on h5, but that is what white desires. because, remember that in chess, king is a more valuable piece than queen, and if I will mate the opponent king, I can give up my queen confortably.
6... B h5 x d1
comment:
here, without taking queen, if black takes the knight on e5 with his knight, then white would win a pawn only. queen would take the bishop on h5, after that if black knights takes white bishop on c4, then white would give a check from b5, and win back the knight, and gain a pawn. by the way, moves like this check on b5, is called intermediate moves. intermediate moves are a theme in chess, a tactical scheme that we will give many examples of them later. but in short, it means, to disturb oponent with a move without gaining back a matarial, or winning a matarial, or checkmating.
7. B c4 x f7+ K e8-e7
8. N c3-d5 ++
checkmate!
in the second post of this board, I will show you a game which is an example, why you shouldn't play with queen too much at the beginning of the game.
